  • Beschrijving: Blind at Heart Based on the bestseller by Julia Franck. In the roaring 1920s, sisters Helene and Martha come to Berlin to start a new life. Martha quickly gets caught up in the nightlife of parties and drug excesses and loses control of her life. Helene, on the other hand, has more ambitious goals: she wants to study medicine and become a doctor. When she falls in love with Karl, her happiness seems complete. But Karl dies unexpectedly. Soon after, the Nazis come to power and Helene meets Wilhelm, who falls in love with her but has very different ideas about how a woman should live.
